A grill with minimal
manufactural effort

Backround

In cooperation with a metal processing company, a grill was developed that can be produced without any other parts and using just one manufacturing process. This means that the company can use its own production facilities and is not in need of external producers.

A two-dimensional cutting template was developed for the metal laser cutter. The customer folds the corresponding sides and parts into the three-dimensional shape that forms the grill tray. This leads to a costefficient, easy to produce and deliverable grill, which is as it only consists out of one material which can easily been recycled, ecological friendly.

The grill tray is complemented by a corresponding grill grate, which can also be can also be manufactured in the same production process. This can be connected to the grill tray in two different positions, enabling a chimney effect for both ignition and two different heat levels for the food, depending on how close the grate is positioned to the coals.
